CVTSS Conference
Czech Scientific and Technical Association of Telecommunications (CVTSS) is organizing a conference on New Prospective Services in Modern Telecommunications Technology to be held in Prague between 22 and 23 June, 2010. One of our specialists, Mr. Petr Bocek, will be participating with his presentation Voice Service in the Converged IC Technology Environment.
Bulgarian Rail Network Modernization
TTC MARCONI arranged a workshop for NRIC, a Bulgarian customer, on the investment plan for modernization of railways tracks in Bulgaria. Various solution variants were discussed based on the references in the Czech Republic and the Ukraine and a pilot project for the selected locality was considered. TTC MARCONI is going to participate in the reconstruction of Sofia – Plovdiv railway line together with one of its business partners. It is a tailor-made bid comprising transmission systems and IP-based dispatcher solutions.
TTC MARCONI at the UIC ERTMS Conference
The UIC ERTMS World Conferences provide the unique platform to take stock of progress in the agenda of the European Rail Traffic Management System project. The event takes place every 18 months and gives a complete overview of the state of the art in the ERTMS business. The last edition was held in Malaga, Spain 31st of March - 2nd of April 2009 and gathered close to 800 knowledgeable professionals. The 2009 Conference theme ERTMS – “On Board and on Track“ was completed by a technical visit on the new high speed line Málaga-Cordoba.
The Czech Republic presented a solution which is implemented within the Czech railway network. In the exhibition „SŽDC and the Czech ERTMS Industry“ participated a number of companies: AŽD, ČD-T, Kapsch, Radom, SŽDC, Teplotechna, T CZ (TRS), TTC MARCONI and the Czech Railway Research Institute. TTC MARCONI presented, for the second time at this important international event, the dispatching terminal IP TouchCall, this once in all-in-one design and with a new graphic user interface.
ERTMS aims at replacing more than 20 different national train control systems in Europe, which are a major technical barrier to international rail traffic. ERTMS introduces considerable benefits in terms of interoperability, maintenance cost savings, increased safety and increased traffic capacity.
Donation for Western Ukraine
Prague, 8th August 2008 - TTC MARCONI s.r.o. employees organized among them a money collection to help the western part of Ukraine which was damaged with huge flood in July 2008. The team of the company was trying to show their solidarity with citizens of Ukraine, which is one of our most important export territories.
Water levels of Dněstr, Stryi, Opir, Limnytsya, Siret and their affluent rivers raised up 7 meters. More than 40 thousand houses and 34 thousand hectare of farmland were damaged, 680 km of highways were undermined. According to information from Ukrainian Ministry of Emergency Situations 22 people died of this natural disaster.
