TTC MARCONI s.r.o. is a multi-regional designer, manufacturer and supplier of telecommunications and information technology equipment and services. Our range of broadband multi-service communications solutions and support services is supplied to telecommunications operators, large enterprises and government agencies primarily in Central and Eastern Europe, leveraging our accumulated knowledge of customers' networks, our expert field force, our scale and reputation for quality.
The Company was founded as a joint venture of the most important telecommunication producer in the Czech Republic, TTC TELEKOMUNIKACE, Ltd., and the Italian company MARCONI S.p.A. During a short period TTC MARCONI became one of the most important vendors and system integrators.
In January 2006, Ericsson completed the acquisition of strategic parts of Marconi's telecommunications business and it will continue to use the Marconi name for Marconi product lines in recognition of the company's strong reputation and of the significant brand value the name carries. The acquisition strengthens Ericsson's position in the accelerating transmission segment. The combined portfolio of Marconi and Ericsson has significantly increased our global market share in fixed and wireless broadband networks.
